The rear cast alloy wheel rim on the NMAX supports the rear tyre, provides the mounting point for the rear brake disc and carries the full drive and braking loads transmitted to the rear wheel. A bent or cracked rear rim, from a kerb strike, pothole or laid-down scooter, causes tyre bead leakage, vibration at speed and structural instability under braking and acceleration.
