This chain is an X-Ring sealed chain. That has rubber seals fitted between the links. These seal in the grease and keep the dirt out, reducing the wear on the chain and extending its life. As the X-Ring has a smaller surface area than the O-ring it reduces friction minimising the loss of power in the drive chain while maintaining the benefits of increased lubrication and reduced wear.
